How we handle
your data.

A plain-language summary of what Lectify collects, how it's used, and how it's protected — written for students, not lawyers.

01

What we store

Lectify stores what's needed to provide the product: your account details (name, email, authentication data), the lecture recordings you upload or record, the slide files you attach, and the notes, flashcards, and quizzes generated from that content.

Audio is processed to produce transcripts and notes. The audio, transcript, and generated materials are associated with your account so you can come back to them later.

02

Billing and payments

Payment processing is handled through Stripe. Lectify does not store your full payment card details. Stripe handles PCI-compliant card storage, billing, and subscription management.

Your subscription plan, usage counts, and billing status are tracked by Lectify to enforce plan limits and display account info.

03

How we protect your data

Your lecture content is associated with your account and is not shared with other users. Access to your recordings, notes, and study materials requires authentication.

All data in transit uses HTTPS. Third-party AI services used for transcription and note generation process your content only as needed to deliver the product, consistent with their own privacy policies.

04

Third-party services

Lectify uses third-party services for transcription, AI note generation, authentication, and payment processing. These services receive only the minimum data needed to perform their function.

We do not sell your personal information or lecture content. Third-party services are used strictly to provide the product's features.

05

Data deletion

You can delete individual notes, recordings, and study materials from inside the app at any time.

If you'd like your entire account and all associated data deleted, email support@lectify.ai and we'll take care of it.

For questions about your data, email support@lectify.ai. This overview will be replaced with a finalized legal policy before broader public launch.
